OSA - Obstructive Sleep Apnea Malaysia

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a Medical Condition of Patient Stop Breathing in Sleep Every Night.

As it is our local Malaysia culture to mistaken that snoring is normal, obstructive sleep apnea or OSA has often gone undiagnosed.

Obstructive sleep apnea occurs when our overly relaxed airway muscles collapse, causing a complete or partial blockage of the upper airway. The collapsed blockage forces the diaphragm and chest muscles to work extra hard to reopen the airway, resulting in gasping or jerking in our body as breathing resumes. As the blockage of the airway is never a simple common night-time nuisance, obstructive sleep apnea disrupts the oxygen flow in our bodies, interrupts our deep sleep and stresses all our vital organs at night.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a condition which a person stops breathing repeatedly during sleep. Breathing stops because the airway collapses and prevent air from getting into the lungs. Sleep patterns are disrupted, resulting in excessive daytime sleepiness or fatigue.
